Question 1

How much floor space does it need, and does it require building work?

Accepted Answer

The 4 and 6 metre versions stand on their own weighted base, with no anchoring into your floor or walls. The 8 metre version is anchored: at least four fixings into the floor, plus fixing into a vertical structure at two levels.

Question 2

What do we need to provide before installation?

Accepted Answer

A statement from a qualified structural engineer that your floor can carry the loads, access and covered storage near the site, and any local building notification that applies. We survey the route from the building entrance beforehand rather than assuming it.

Question 3

Is it certified, and to what standard?

Accepted Answer

It is designed to EN 12572-1 for artificial climbing walls together with the Eurocodes, with calculations produced by a licensed structural engineer. The belay point is verified against a 20 kN test load and a CE declaration is supplied.

Question 4

How many people can climb at once?

Accepted Answer

One climber is on the wall at a time, secured by a certified auto-belay. Sessions are booked in blocks of 15, 30 or 60 minutes, and a group shares the block by taking turns.

Question 5

Do we need trained staff to run it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. An operator signs in with an individual code, inspects the wall before opening, checks each harness and confirms the auto-belay is clipped before every climb. If you have no crew, the rental and third-party operating models exist for exactly this reason.

Question 6

What are the age and weight limits?

Accepted Answer

The weight range is set by the auto-belay model fitted to your wall rather than by the wall itself, and is confirmed for your configuration at the point of order. Under-18s need a guardian's consent, and children under 10 are supervised and clipped in by their guardian.

Question 7

What safety system does it use?

Accepted Answer

A certified auto-belay, with the specific model depending on the configuration supplied. Before opening, the operator checks the casing and holds for damage and inspects the carabiner and webbing against that device's own manufacturer guidance.

Question 8

What are the rules for climbers?

Accepted Answer

No alcohol or drugs, sports clothing and footwear, jewellery removed, pockets emptied, long hair tied back, and only the designated holds used. We adapt the manufacturer's baseline into house rules for your country, for review by your own lawyer and insurer.

Question 9

How does installation work, and what does it need from us?

Accepted Answer

The wall arrives as steel frames that are bolted together on site and lifted into place module by module, so it comes in through the building rather than being craned in whole. We coordinate the installation with Reclimb and train your staff at handover.

Question 10

Can a brand sponsor the wall?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it already runs this way in Warsaw. A sponsor's logo appears on the holds and between games, and a branded competition slot includes two one-hour cups for two age groups, with up to four such slots in a single day.
